Ordtek Launch New Cost Efficient UXO Risk Assessment Service

With the possibility of UXO contamination affecting many construction sites across the UK it is important for developers and contractors to be aware of the level of risk, and mitigation required, they could face on the project. Ordtek now provides cost efficient desk based UXO risk assessments with clear recommendations that allow the project to proceed without encountering unnecessary cost and time consuming measures. All assessments conform to the CIRIA C681 Guidelines.

Assessment and management of unexploded ordnance (UXO) risk in the marine environment (P2833)

The Crown Estate published a document in 2010, mainly for dredging and marine aggregate operators, to manage UXO risk associated with dredging munitions. However, little guidance exists for those people involved in other marine activities such as offshore wind farms, cable, and pipe laying activities in regards to assessing and managing UXO risk.
